Beauty Needs + Beauty School = Beauty Solutions

Mom, Dad… I’ve been accepted to one of the top Laser Schools!  Who knew this would be an educational option where one could study and have a fulfilled career making good money? It seems like it was just yesterday when I was introduced to the concept of “Beauty School” watching the 1978 film, Grease, starring John Travolta, Olivia Newton John and more specifically, “Frenchy” (played by Didi Conn) the beauty school dropout. Back in 1978, Frenchy’s beauty education was limited to hair coloring, perms and old school ear piercings. Fast forward to 2008, and now there are a plethora of new beauty needs such as unwanted hair, spider veins and wrinkles. But, thanks to the advance in technology and beauty school education there are solutions for all of them. So, if you’re looking for a new career or just interested in learning about an industry that affects pretty much the entire population here’s a quick overview of five beauty needs and solutions where  laser certifications could come in handy.

1) Tattoo removal – Tattoos are very popular and can be spontaneous, addictive and permanent. But, thanks to technology those bad tattoo decisions can now be removed by a procedure called tattoo laser removal.  Pirates of the Caribbean star, Johnny Depp is well known for having this procedure done. In the early 1990’s he was engaged to actress Winona Ryder and had Winona Forever tattooed to his arm. Three years after the engagement ended Depp underwent tattoo laser removal treatment. Today, the new and improved tattoo reads Wino forever.

2) Spider vein removal – Spider veins can not only be an eye sore to some they can also be painful. Spider veins are caused by various elements such as genetics, pregnancy, weight gain and hormones to name a few. They can appear on different parts of the body in different shapes but mostly appear on ankles and legs. And since they mostly appear on ankles and legs, a place where you can cover them up, removal of spider veins is not talked about much. Top celebrities that have been rumored to have had spider vein laser removal treatment include Sex & the City’s Kristin Davis and famed actress Natalie Portman.

3) Acne – Everyone’s had acne some time in their life. But, if you’re prone to continuous acne problems and scarring from blemishes then acne laser treatments might be an option for you. This technique has been perfected over the years to help with acne blemishes and scars on every skin tone.

4) Wrinkles – Everyone gets wrinkles but women are more apt to find solutions for stopping or reversing them. Laser treatments have been used to reverse sun damage, and smooth out all the laugh lines and worry lines created by age.

5) Unwanted hair – Getting rid of unwanted hair has to be one of the most popular beauty needs of today. Women can stop shaving their underarms, legs and bikini areas and apt for laser treatments to smooth out those areas and save hours and hours of shaving time. And, men that aren’t fond of thick back hair can opt-in for the treatment as well and save their wife or girlfriend hours and hours of shaving time.

All of these beauty needs have been reported as part of the most popular treatments contributing to double-digit growth from 2006-2007 in the U.S. market for laser centers. So, if you’re a fan of Frenchy from the movie Grease and want to follow your beauty school dreams of today, a career in laser treatments can be a quite fulfilling and prosperous decision.
